President Obama seems to have lost his magic touch with the American people. They used to cheer anytime air passed over his vocal chords. Now, they change the channel. Martha’s Vineyard vacationers once purchased shirts boasting “I Vacationed with Obama.” Now, a hopey-changey picture of George W. Bush saying “Miss me yet?” is the top selling shirt at the M.V. Heck, he used to even be able to scold them for their selfish, excessive ways. Now, they get mad anytime he and his wife take more than five summer vacations. It sure isn’t as much fun being Obama as it was just two short years ago.

However, there’s always a place willing to applaud him for being who he is. Somewhere where Michelle Obama won’t get criticized for saying that America is a downright mean country.  A place where even the Obama’s former family minister Jeremiah Wright doesn’t have to have excuses made for him because they too know that America’s chickens have come home…to roost. That magical place is the United Nations – the Disney Land for Despotic, Tyrannical Governments.

Sure, the UN may have a few bad apples that perform genocide on their own country and seem a little preoccupied with ensuring Israel is wiped off of the face of the earth. Yes, it’s a group that puts nations on their Human Rights Council that routinely assassinate political dissidents or at least lock them up for life and torture them. Sure, a few of the Human Rights Council members turn a blind eye to murderous rampages among different factions in their own nations. But, hey, is the US really better than any of them? (No, I really did actually think we were.)

 According to the Obama administration, we aren’t much better than North Korea, Iran, Cuba, or China. The Washington Times reported that the administration filed a report with the farcical UN Human Rights Council claiming that the US “discriminates against the disabled, homosexuals, women, Native Americans, blacks, Hispanics, and those who do not speak English.” It is well known that Iran does have the best handicapped parking spots in the entire world. Unfortunately, you’re usually handicapped because you disagreed with the ruling Imams. The administration also made it a point to describe the horrible conditions Muslims are forced to live in within the United States. I can only imagine the hell Islamic fundamentalists must go through in the US where a man can’t even kill his daughter because she disgraced the family by getting raped. How do they survive in a country where groups show up to aid them in building a mosque just two blocks from where Muslims killed over 3,000 innocent Americans? The U.S. theocracy must be torture on them…well, maybe not exactly like the torture Muslims endure at the hands of brutal regimes like Iran, you know, the real torture, but living in the US still has to at least be really, really annoying.

 The Washington Times did highlight that the administration’s report wasn’t all doom and gloom. It stated, “our expectation thereof is justified by the proven ability of our system of government to deliver the progress our people demand and deserve.” The Times article explained that for every grievance, there was a federal government, Obama-crafted solution such as health care, housing, or nutrition. (Yes, our nation is pointing out a grievance because we have poor nutrition which is leading to high obesity levels. I wonder how that complaint went over to countries facing famines and rampant hunger.)

 As the Times concluded, they disagreed with the administration’s statement on the report that just because the US filed a report, it didn’t mean they were equating the US with real human rights violators. I’m as skeptical as the Times about that claim. President Obama has just given every two-bit dictator thug all the reason they need to reject anything we ask them to do. Now, the despots of the world have something tangible as evidence that the US is the oppressor-in-chief.

Unfortunately, we brought this on ourselves. When we first accepted President Obama’s pitches of woo toward us, we established a standard level of adulation that he needed from us. Since the magic has started dying and his poll numbers are getting ready to hit into the thirties, he has to go somewhere that hasn’t lost that lovin’ feeling. What better way to make new friends at the UN than by ripping on the US? You definitely can’t spell unfaithful without UN.

 (Seriously, all kidding aside, who does President Obama think he is to equate the US with the world’s worst genocidal thugs? The US has never complied with the UN Human Rights Council because it’s a complete farce. Some of the worst offenders sit on the board judging the rest of the world. The United States should never be compared to Iran or any other bloodthirsty regime around the world. This is completely reprehensible and a man of moral character would relieve himself of office. Remember this Human Rights report when you go to vote in November. If you like seeing your own government indicting you as a bigot, then by all means keep voting Democrat and you can expect to receive future versions of this song and dance. However, if you believe that the US is the answer to human rights violations around the world and not the cause, vote Republican to get all of these leftist creeps out of public office.)

President Obama issued a statement that should concern every American about the nation’s military objectives for the war in Afghanistan. He has explained that we are not seeking victory because it conjures up images of the Japanese emperor aboard the USS Missouri to end the conflict in the Pacific theater of WWII. The same president that had no problem responding to Republican criticisms early in his presidency with the simple statement, “I won,” now can’t bring himself to commit to being able to tell the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan the same message. Perhaps, someone should claim that our nation’s enemies are opposed to socialized medicine and they supported McCain last November; maybe that would inspire him to fight to win.

Iran has a long history of brutality against its own people. Incidents such as this picture of men being hung simply for being homosexual are commonplace.

President Obama’s press conference Tuesday illustrated why he will never rise above “politician” to the rank of “leader.” When confronted by a reporter about his refusal twice during the press conference to explain specific actions that the US would take against Iran, Obama explained the reason for his indecisiveness on a course of action by saying, “We don’t know how this is going to play out yet.” Essentially, President Obama is voting “present” on this situation just as he did so many times during his time in the Illinois State Senate when divisive issues came before him. However, Obama is no longer a junior senator in the Illinois or US Senate any longer, he’s moved up to the big time into a position that demands quick thinking, action, and a specific strategy. This course of action has already led the nation down a road to financial insolvency from passing the duty of writing the “stimulus bill” to congressional Democrats who took the opportunity to fulfill their fanciful spending ambitions while placing economic stimulus aside. This mistake cost the nation close to $1 trillion and, as the CBO stated in their analysis, will impede long-term US GDP growth. While the previous wishy-washy positions taken by the president have cost American taxpayers trillions in tax dollars, his failure to act towards Iran is costing innocent Iranians their lives and helping lend credibility to a regime steadily committed to acquiring nuclear weapons to use against the United States or our allies such as Israel. Iran has even killed American soldiers as they send support to insurgents hell-bent on spilling the blood of America’s service men and women in Iraq. As blood continues to flow in the streets of Tehran, the world looks for a true leader guiding the actions of the nation which has become the beacon for promoting freedom and liberty around the globe. Merely sitting on the sidelines because, as Obama said, “we don’t know how this is going to play out” for fear of angering the murderous regime is not an action befitting America or her Commander-in-Chief.

While speaking in front of the Berlin Wall, President Reagan placed even more pressure on the USSR to embrace freedom.

Leading is hard and true leadership requires courage and moral tenacity. B. Hussein Obama seems to be lacking both of these traits. The world is a dangerous place and as the world has witnessed an innocent lady bleed to death on the street in Iran after being shot for no reason by the Iranian authorities, there is no room for moral relativism. Great leaders throughout history have recognized this and acted accordingly. After taking office, Reagan assumed his leadership responsibilities through referring to the USSR as an “evil empire” to the horror of American politicians from both parties. At the time, the Soviet Union was even more dangerous than Iran. It was an empire which was well beyond “developing” nuclear weapons. Several times between WWII until the end of the Cold War, the USSR came close to using their nuclear arsenals to attack the American mainland. For decades, US presidents tried in vain to placate the Soviet communists in an effort to contain the communist regime. During these same decades, the threat posed to the United States steadily increased. It took the firm, unwavering leadership of the morally resolute Reagan to finally end the threat posed by Soviet communists. The politicians worked to placate the USSR because they didn’t know how it “was going to play out.” Conversely, Reagan led strongly and resolutely. When he said, “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall,” many thought he was agitating. Just a few years later, the Berlin Wall came down. Reagan completed what politicians had been trying to achieve for almost half a decade. This is the time for Obama to stand up to the podium as a leader of America and show that we stand firmly behind oppressed people fighting the brutality of the Iranian regime and all other oppressive governments in the world. While we cannot fight every brutal despot at the same time, letting these world leaders know that the US has put them on notice will make a difference to everyone fighting against these evil forces. Shortly after George W. Bush showed his resolve to fight terror sponsoring states, Libya quickly decided to take a friendlier stance in an effort to avoid any American actions against them. When martial law was declared in Poland, Reagan’s support of the resistance forces gave comfort to any Polish people fighting against their oppressors. This is Obama’s opportunity to restore America to the “shining city on the hill” for anyone fighting brutal government rulers to look to for support.

In just five months in office, President Obama’s economic policies have placed the nation’s AAA debt rating in jeopardy. By not acting swiftly and decisively with Iran, he is now threatening a similar downgrade of America’s standing as the largest force for liberty in the world that all other free societies look to when facing repressive, dangerous regimes. The dollar’s future may be in question right now, however, the “full faith and credit” of the powerful effect of American economic sanctions and military actions are in no danger of being downgraded any time soon; that is unless Obama cuts the power to that “shining city on the hill.” He has proven that he is a gifted politician. Now it’s time to see if Obama is capable of leading.

As Obama's former pastor blames the Jews for keeping Obama from speaking with him, another anti-Semite, James W von Brunn (pictured above) kills in DC. Who is promoting the anti-Semitism?

In the wake of the tragic shooting at the Holocaust Museum in Washington DC today which left a security guard dead, there is no doubt that some liberal outlets will use the tragedy for their own political motives claiming a danger from “rightwing extremists.” However, we need to ask where the ideas that motivated the shooter, 88-year-old white supremacist, James W von Brunn are being advanced? Brunn has promoted the idea of a Jewish conspiracy for most of his life and blames Jewish and black jury members and judges for his conviction in the 1980’s when he charged into the Federal Reserve building with a shotgun to protest high interest rates. On his website, Brunn claims that the “holocaust myth” has been used to advance a Jewish agenda in the United States and he blames Jewish people for the world’s problems. Obviously, this man is a lunatic, bigot whose life was guided by hate.

However, on the same day this tragedy was committed, Obama’s former pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright told reporters from Hampton University that Jews were keeping President Obama from contacting him. As explained in a previous post, Wright stated, “Them Jews aren’t going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he’ll talk to me in five years when he’s a lame duck, or in eight years when he’s out of office.” Wright then went on to explain, “Ethnic cleansing is going on in Gaza. Ethnic cleansing (by) the Zionist is a sin and a crime against humanity, and they don’t want Barack talking like that because that’s anti-Israel.”

Who is largely legitimizing the anti-Semitism that inspired Brunn’s actions today? Which side of the aisle promotes the idea that America’s foreign policy is guided by Israel and the Jewish community? While speaking in Cairo, after affirming the reality of the Holocaust and the insanity of denying it, Obama segued into his next point by saying, “on the other hand” and then proceeded to equate the murder of 6 million Jews to the displacement of Arabs in the creation of Israel. One of Obama’s senior foreign policy advisors and co-chairmen of his campaign, General Merrill “Tony” McPeak, has explained that the Israeli lobby controls American foreign policy. In a 2003 interview with The Oregonian, McPeak was asked whether Mid-East peace negotiation problems came from the White House or State Department, McPeak replied the resistance to peace comes from, “New York City, Miami. We have a large vote – vote here in favor of Israel. And no politician wants to run against it.” Robert Goldberg of The American Spetator, summarized McPeak’s statements as, “Guys like McPeak are upset because they think Jews have too much influence…They reflect the views of Reverend Wright and other Obama advisors who believe that Israel is just a problem to be solved not an ally to support.”

Anti-Semitism has an ugly history of rearing its head during economic downturns. Before left-wingers start classifying lunatic anti-Semites like Brunn as “rightwing extremists,” it’s important to see where bigots like Brunn are finding validation for their anti-Semitic beliefs.   

Apparently, Osama bin Laden is annoying President Obama by attempting to steal away some of Obama's attention. Maybe this move will finally make President Obama see this guy as a threat.

Osama bin Laden released a new tape this week. The White House accused Osama of trying to steal Obama’s thunder during his “outreach” tour of the Mid-East this week. Interesting how Obama always brings it back to himself. Never mind the fact that North Korea and Iran have launched ballistic missiles and vow to increase their nuclear weapons development programs. Also, pay no mind to the top level al Qaeda officer delivering a message about plans to sneak anthrax or other biological weapons across the Mexican border with the purpose of killing hundreds of thousands of Americans if properly released in a populated area, the president was irked that Osama tried to steal some of the spotlight focused on Obama’s outpouring of his closeted Islamic roots. With bin Laden’s tape now out there ,how is the president going to compete with all of his detractors who are not respecting the level of exclusivity Obama demands while in town. President B. Hussein Obama is handling foreign policy issues that are “beyond his pay grade.” Unfortunately, innocent Americans will be the ones who ultimately pay for the ineptness in foreign policy. Pray that large-scale attacks never occur on Obama’s watch because the immediate response afterwards would be to come out and explain how it wasn’t the president’s fault. With Obama, the whole concern is keeping his ego inflated and image propped up. There is no reality in “Oabmaland,” only wants the President wants to hear and what he wants facts to say. The sooner Obama’s handlers get him back home, the safe we are as a nation.

According to President Obama, “If you actually took the number of Muslim Americans, we’d be one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” This was yet another example of the president’s tendency to twist reality into whatever he feels benefits him most. Contrary to Obama’s assertion, the United States’ Muslim population is nowhere near the largest in the world. Using conservative estimates, the US Muslim population is about 40^th largest, even if we used the most inflated estimates of American Muslims; the US barely cracks the list of top 35 Muslim populations in the world. This didn’t stop B. Hussein Obama from waxing poetically about the pressing need for America to recognize its Muslim identity as he used his made-up reality to declare, “And so there’s got to be a better dialogue and a better understanding between the two peoples.”

Some Americans might find this most recent presidential double-standard disturbing since Obama stated during a speech in Turkey that Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation.” Apparently, Obama’s urge to receive ovations from his Muslim hosts drives him to denounce the religious self-identification of 85% of Americans who label themselves “Christian” in order to claim a non-existent, dominate Muslim tradition in the US. It will be interesting to see if the same secular liberals that constantly complained about George W. Bush’s references to Christianity and who excoriated John McCain for claiming that America was a “Christian nation” in 2007 will find any conflicts with the “wall of separation between church and state” in Obama’s claim of America’s Muslim heritage.

Perhaps Obama was referring to America’s prison populations. This is where Islam has found its strongest power of conversion within American borders. The four men caught in New York State trying to plant bombs at Jewish synagogues and shoot down a plane at a nearby Air Force base had found Mohammad while serving time in prison. Since the attacks on 9/11, they weren’t the first prison-converted-Muslims taking up jihad in the US.  (Yes, the American prison systems that are already producing radical Islamic converts are a proposed destination for some of the most dangerous detainees currently being safely held in Guantanamo Bay. Does this really seem like a sensible move?)

After being instructed throughout the 2008 campaign that Obama’s Muslim history was insignificant, the administration is now claiming it as an asset. Yes, B. Hussein Obama’s father was Muslim and after his mother married an Indonesian Muslim man, young Obama attended a Muslim grade school in Indonesia. (His campaign denied having attended the Muslim school. However, records from Indonesia show this to be a lie.)That’s about as far as his Muslim “street cred” goes. In his early days in Chicago, Obama began his 20-year-long affiliation with Rev. Wright’s “Christian” church. While Wright’s form of Christianity shared a lot of views of jihadists, it still wasn’t Islam.

However, Obama’s sudden attempt to pull his Muslim history out of the closet brings up another issue. Anyone using Obama’s middle name is still called racist or accused of trying to accuse the president of being a “stealth Muslim.” Has this veil been lifted now that Obama is bracing his Islamic heritage? It’s odd how Obama played down his Islamic connections, claiming that they were very brief, he was too young to completely understand, or deceptively asserting that they didn’t exist, yet now these same experiences are supposed to be so significant that B. Hussein Obama can sit down with radical jihadists around the world and show them the path to “hope and change.”

Once again Obama is being allowed to hyper-inflate his background, personal charm, and persuasive abilities in order to place himself in a “messianic” role to save the world. Too bad, as Iran and North Korea have proven already that America’s enemies have checked out the “change we can believe in” bandwagon and spit in its face. The last thing we need is a president willing to sell out American values and identity in order to promote his constant craving of adulation and self-righteousness. We’ve already witnessed this behavior several times before. While campaigning, Obama had no problem throwing his grandmother and pastor for 20 years under the “Hope and Change” bus. After listening to Daniel Ortega blast the US for nearly an hour, Obama expressed his relief that Ortega wasn’t blaming him. On the same trip, the president accepted anti-American reading recommendations and posed for cameras with Hugo Chavez. All of this was done while seeking acceptance from America’s enemies south of the border. Now, Obama’s on a sell-out tour in the Middle East. However, he’s projecting weakness to the wrong despots and madmen. These guys won’t just publish their pictures shaking hands with Obama to gain support at home. They will see it as a weakness and inflict suffering on America, or “Great Satan” in their languages. After Clinton pulled out of Somalia, bin Laden was encouraged to act aggressively because he claimed the US had shown itself to be a “paper tiger.” B. Hussein Obama is playing out of his league on this trip and hopefully no American pays the price for his ignorance and arrogance.

Yes, Obama lived in Indonesia as a child for a couple of years. This doesn’t make him an expert of Islamic ways or capable of changing radical jihadists through his asinine plans of a “Muslim Summit.” It’s like having a janitor at a university think he can teach chemistry because he’s worked in the same building for a couple of years. Sure he might know his way around but the real chemists keep talking way over his head. In the end, the janitor is the butt of all the jokes but he doesn’t know enough to realize it. So it goes with Obama in Cairo.

One of the key objectives in the mission statement for this site is to call out officials when they are caught being dishonest with the American people. It definitely seems that giving House Speaker Nancy Pelosi a pass on her press conference today would be in direct opposition to that mission. It seems that Pelosi may very well get more than she expected as the Democrats call for “truth commissions” over the Bush administration’s approval of harsh interrogation methods used on certain detainees in the overseas contingency operation, formerly called the War on Terror. The speaker’s press conference on Thursday, May 14 will go down in history as one of the most awkward moments ever witnessed on live television. Pelosi was jittery throughout the questioning and had to frequently fumble through her notes in order to give the press the precise answer which she mapped out beforehand. She was unable to answer the simplest question without first consulting the pile of papers in front of her.

Speaker Pelosi seemed on the verge of hyperventilating as she changed her story once again.

So it looks like speaker has been caught with her hand in the “Blame Bush Cookie Jar.” In her press conference today, Pelosi barely escaped without a nervous breakdown. Highlights of the event included Pelosi’s accusation that the CIA lied to Congress and reference to the old liberal mantra that George W. Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The story of what Pelosi knew about enhanced interrogation methods seems to change with the calendar. First she said that, she “was not – I repeat – was not told that waterboarding was used,” then CIA records revealed that she was briefed during a meeting in 2002 where the interrogation methods were explained during a presentation which also provided a virtual tour of the detention facilities. This led her to claim that she was aware that the technique was on the table but she was never informed that waterboarding might be used. After this claim was torpedoed, Pelosi has strung together an uncomfortable story that she was informed that someone had been briefed about the methods but she wasn’t specifically briefed on the situation. Did you catch all of that? Democrats are dead set on conducting their “truth commissions” over their accusations that the Bush administration approved the use of torture. However, it seems that Speaker Pelosi may very well be collected as collateral damage in the ensuing fracas.

It will be interesting to see what the Democrats will do with Pelosi as the story continues to unfold. Will they allow her to be collected in their dragnet or will they prove that this is all partisan posturing by excluding Pelosi of any culpability while calling for the heads of Bush and company?

While it is a very positive development that President Obama has decided not to release photos of alleged detainee abuse, it’s just another stark reminder that our current president doesn’t have good first instincts when making decisions. During the campaign, this tendency was brought to light several times. To name just a few instances that illustrate B. Hussein Obama’s poor decision making are his past relationships with figures such as the murderous domestic terrorist couple William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn, his racially intolerant and adamantly anti-American minister of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright, and Obama’s shady dealings with now-convicted slumlord Anton Rezko.

No list of past associations would be complete without mentioning his ties to ACORN. When first asked about his longtime dealings with any of these individuals or ACORN, Obama first denied everything until he was confronted with indisputable evidence that he wasn’t telling the truth. After he was no longer able to plausibly deny any affiliation with them, Obama would casually throw them under the “Hope and Change” bus and claim ignorance of their true natures.

The annual White House Correspondents Dinner provided the most recent example of Obama’s horrible first instincts. Obama openly expressed his enjoyment of Wanda Sykes’ “jokes” about Rush Limbaugh being the 20^thhijacker in the 9/11 plot only to miss his plane because he was high on OxyContin along with her wishes that Limbaugh would succumb to renal failure. Video of the event shows the President unable to contain his smirks as he turned to those around him in amusement at the routine. After the dinner, President Obama explained that he thought Sykes was funny and did a great job that evening. However, on Monday when the news cycle officially restarted for the week, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs was immediately back peddling about his boss’s approval of Sykes’ performance.

It seems that even though Limbaugh isn’t considered a “darling” by a large section of the population, Americans don’t really find much amusement in making light of the largest attack on US soil which claimed over 3,000 lives. They also aren’t very big on poking fun at someone for a drug problem which the person admitted to and successfully rehabilitated himself. Nor is wishing kidney failure on someone over opposing political views considered rising above the immature partisan discourse which was one of Obama’s main campaign themes. Obama’s first reaction was to laugh and enjoy the moment. Obama still hasn’t apologized even though his messenger, Gibbs, was no longer giving such rave reviews of the weekend’s performance.

While there is plenty of reason to be leery of electing a president that keeps company with terrorists and anti-American hate mongers, at the very least it showed that Obama lacks good instincts when left to make his own decisions. This isn’t the first time that he has had to backpedal on his plans after being run over by reality. Everyone can recall his opposition to the, supposed, domestic spying program which Obama lambasted the Bush administration over. After assuming the presidency, Obama quickly supported the same arguments the Bush administration used to justify the surveillance program and even expanded the executive authority on the matter. One can only assume that after being briefed on the highly classified intelligence which the President is privy to each day, he saw that there was more to the program than what the junior senator from Illinois first thought. Now, after seeing the damaging effects of declassifying memos from the CIA explaining the harsh interrogation techniques used, we can only hope that Obama has noticed the difficult situation he has placed our military and intelligence-gathering services. Everyone can pray that Obama is now starting to realize that his personality alone won’t keep America safe.

Hopefully this marks a change in course from Obama’s previous campaign to undercut America’s international reputation. Unfortunately though, this is probably just another case of reality catching up to Obama’s horrible first instincts.
