Obama is Tougher on GOP than Taliban in Afghanistan
Friday, July 24th, 2009President Obama issued a statement that should concern every American about the nation’s military objectives for the war in Afghanistan. He has explained that we are not seeking victory because it conjures up images of the Japanese emperor aboard the USS Missouri to end the conflict in the Pacific theater of WWII. The same president that had no problem responding to Republican criticisms early in his presidency with the simple statement, “I won,” now can’t bring himself to commit to being able to tell the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan the same message. Perhaps, someone should claim that our nation’s enemies are opposed to socialized medicine and they supported McCain last November; maybe that would inspire him to fight to win.
